Itinerar

Day 1 — Flight Bucharest – Kathmandu

We meet at the airport, full of emotion and excitement for the adventure ahead. Next comes the flight to Nepal, our destination for the coming weeks of discovery and exploration.

Day 2 — Kathmandu

After arrival, we check in and have time to rest after the flight. Kathmandu is a fascinating city, full of color, life and spirituality – a first encounter with Nepal that is sure to leave no one indifferent. Towards evening we will have the introductory briefing: we discuss…

Day 3 — Kathmandu – Besisahar (1860 m)

In the morning we set off on a long but spectacular transfer of roughly 8 hours and 230 km to Besisahar, where the circuit officially begins. Along the way we take in the rural landscapes, the farming terraces and the traditional Nepalese houses.

Day 4 — Besisahar – Chame (2700 m)

We continue by jeep to Dharapani, then to Chame. We settle into the mountain rhythm! We walk through forests of bamboo and pine, pass through Buddhist gates and the picturesque villages of the Manang region. On clear days we can admire Lamjung Himal (6983 m) and Manaslu (8157 m)…

Day 5 — Chame – Pisang (3300 m)

The route continues through villages with apple orchards and alpine forests, until we reach one of the most spectacular places on the trail: the Gate of Heaven, a vast granite amphitheater guarded by the Annapurna II glacier (7937 m). After lunch, we climb towards…

Day 6 — Pisang – Manang (3570 m)

We start early for one of the most beautiful stages of the circuit. Grand views of Annapurna II (7937 m) and of the traditional villages set along the valley open up before us. We cross suspension bridges and climb up to a…

Day 7 — Acclimatization in Manang

We take a day of active rest to get used to the altitude. We admire the views over the Gangapurna glacier and the Chulu peaks, and for those who wish, an excursion to Ice Lake, at over 4600 m, is possible. The authentic atmosphere of…

Day 8 — Manang – Tilicho Base Camp (4150 m)

We leave Manang and venture even deeper into the Himalayas. We climb towards Tilicho Base Camp, located at over 4000 m, surrounded by the steep walls of Tilicho mountain (7134 m). The route is considered a true gem of the Annapurna Circuit, with landscapes…

Day 9 — Tilicho Lake (4949 m)

Without heavy luggage, we climb with just our day pack to Tilicho Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world. The clear water reflects fragments of the Tilicho glacier and the snow-capped peaks around it, offering a unique natural spectacle. After spending a few…

Day 10 — Tilicho Base Camp – Yak Kharka (4018 m)

We begin the descent to Yak Kharka, crossing areas with scattered villages that seem to belong to another era. The Chulu peaks, over 6000 m high, accompany us along the way. The atmosphere becomes ever wilder and quieter, preparing us for the next stages of the circuit.

Day 11 — Yak Kharka – Thorong Phedi (4450 m)

We set off on an endurance stage, climbing gradually along alpine trails. The vegetation becomes ever sparser and the air thinner. Ahead of us rise the massive cliffs of Thorong Peak and the Damodar range. We reach Thorong Phedi, the base camp for…

Day 12 — Thorong Phedi – Thorong La Pass (5416 m) – Muktinath (3800 m)

We begin the climb before sunrise to catch the best conditions. After a sustained effort, we reach the Thorong La pass at 5416 m, where the Himalayan panorama rewards us in full: Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and many other peaks of…

Day 13 — Muktinath – Kagbeni (2800 m)

After the descent into Muktinath, we set off towards Kagbeni, venturing ever deeper into the arid landscapes of Mustang. Along the way we will cross viewpoints with broad panoramas of the mountains and travel along the Kali Gandaki valley, at times close to the riverbed…

Day 14 — Kagbeni – Pokhara (1400 m)

The last day of the mountain circuit: We set off for Marpha, the "apple capital" of Mustang. The route offers unique views over the rocky terrain and the local culture. In Marpha we will visit the orchards and the small local workshops – here juices, tarts and…

Day 15 — Phewa Lake (Pokhara)

A relaxing day in Pokhara: after breakfast we set off by boat on Phewa Lake — a soothing experience, with views of the Annapurna ridges reflected in the water. If time allows, we visit the Shiva Cave and climb to the Peace Stupa (World Peace Pagoda) for…

Day 16 — Pokhara – Kathmandu

We return to Kathmandu. After arrival we have free time to relax and for our final visits in the capital: optionally Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), Patan, or the Thamel district for shopping and souvenirs. In the evening we gather for a farewell dinner.

Day 17 — Departure for home

A short morning of shopping or coffee, then transfer to the airport and the international flight home. We arrive in Bucharest with our bags full of memories and experiences.
